Segmented projects can be a pain. If your angles are off even a tiny bit, you will probably have gaps in the joints. Instead of fiddling with the angles of ALL the parts in an effort to get them perfect, assemble the project in two halves. Before combining the halves into a whole, plane (or sand) the mating surfaces flat. It’s a lot easier to deal with two seams than eight or nine.
