I hate power tool cords, they're always in the way. Several years ago, I learned a way to control them with carabiners. You can buy them in any hardware store or home center. Hook one on your belt loop and run the cord through it.

For even more control, hook a second one on a loop in the back, and run the cord through both. You can move from place to place with your tool without worrying about the cord getting caught or in the way.
