Incremental Box Joint Jig
The way the jig works is simple: The sliding carriage moves your workpiece from position to position, utilizing a lead screw positioner with positive stops every 1/8". Those stops align with a paper template (included in the plans) with various joint configurations already laid out for you. This, along with the dual cursors, lets you actually see where BOTH sides of your blade will be cutting, eliminating mistakes that come with losing track of which side of a line your kerf will fall on. The cam-activated positioner auto-corrects the carriage's position, should you attempt to lock it down out of place. You only have to get your cursor CLOSE to the line, and the jig will zero it in for you.

You can help support all the woodworking goodness Stumpy and the gang does by purchasing a set of plans for this project! A HUGE amount of work went into designing and building it, including 3D modeling, creating and testing prototypes, making changes and doing it all again... why go through all that trouble when you can follow Stumpy's detailed plans? They include dimensional drawings, materials/cut lists, exploded views, even photographs and step by step instructions! You can download them to a computer, tablet or phone, even print them out to take with you into the shop.
Below are some samples of what our new woodworking plans look like-
This joint, beginning with 1/8" fingers, then 1/4" and finally 1/2", was cut using this jig and a single saw blade, without changing the setup mid-joint.
I believe this is the most versitle box joint jig out there. It will cut any joint configuration you can imagine, without any complicated setup or attachments to swap around. You don't need a dado set to use it, though using one will speed up the process. It will cut a joint up to 18" wide, and is compatible with any table saw size. And best of all, it is easy to build using our detailed step-by-step instructions!
